Now that I’ve been in uni for about 3 years, I find it really strange that I was forced to say the Pledge of Allegiance every day in school from pre-k to 12th. Seriously, what’s the point of that? And the mandatory moment of silence afterward. I understand saying it on special occasions but was it really necessary to waste time every day by forcing us to say that? I believe I stopped saying it in 11th or 12th grade but still.
